We were asked to create an area within the Nine Network building to house their new entity, V9 Digital, that digitizes and archives videos and film. The idea was to create a space that would be conducive to the different processes of the archiving while allowing the equipment to be on display for the public to see while on tour or attending an event within the building. We proposed some walls to be made of translucent acrylic panels with embedded LED strip lights that would create a selected colorful glow to play on the idea of visual light and the color spectrum. We also created a large flexible work area that would accommodate the fluctuation of contract workers during larger projects.
